My name is Natalie Sgro, and I am a Broadcast Journalism major at Quinnipiac University. Reporting has always been a passion of mine, along with living and eating healthy. By combining these two interests, Food, Naturally was born. Growing up in Lincroft, New Jersey, my family enjoyed eating natural, locally-grown foods. After moving to Connecticut to attend college, I was faced with a new environment and the not-so-natural options at the campus dining hall. I was forced to look outside the conventional college eateries to continue my healthy eating habits. With the organic food industry growing at a rapid pace, I began to discover more and more organic options in Connecticut. Although I always make an effort to eat organically, I commonly face skepticism and opposition from other people. Hopefully through this blog, I can educate others about the benefits of organic food, report on the organic industry, and act as a guide to those who are seeking out organic products in Connecticut.
